Hi have 2 different databases running and there is a link between them. When I try to run a report with the SQL, the SQL session just hangs.
I when I log on to each individual database, I can run the sql, but when I try to access a table from one database to other database; say for example when I log on to database1 & type
DESC table@database2 ;
the session just freezes. I tried to create a new link and test it, but the session freezes. The database is running on Sun OS 5.8.
I restarted the database and the machine & then I could run the report on Friday. But today, when I run the report the session freezes again. Can you think what could the issue be. Thanks in advance.

I would like to know how u established the database link since i need to establish a link between 2 database and since u have already done that may be u could help me out.
