Experts,
I am new to oracle db. When i try to do dml operations, if the power shut down occurs, will the operations committed to database. If not why? if yes why?

Hi,
If the power goes down changes that are not explicitly committed will be rolled back when you restart the DB. Point is, it you don't say COMMIT; the data is not (and should not be) committed.
