Hi all
I have Oracle 9.2.0.3.0 installed on Solaris 5.9(server1). Yday i found that there was some problem on one of the disks having /usr, /var and $ORACLE_HOME and the system was not booting up. I had no other go other than mirroring /usr and /var from another server(Server2) to Server1 (by the way of disk mirroring). Now the System is booted and dB is up.
My problem is i cud not run listner now.It comes out with falg err.

LSNRCTL> stat
Connecting to (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(PORT=1521))
TNS-12541: TNS:no listener
TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
TNS-00511: No listener
Solaris Error: 146: Connection refused
LSNRCTL>

And, if i try to open listener.ora
TEST# vi /apv01/.../listener.ora
"" Permission denied
TEST#

Let me know what cud be the problem

Thanks in advance
:-)

Hi

prblm resolved

prblm was, since /var was copied from a diff server, /var/tmp/.oracle was not owned by my oracle user. I just changed the owner
