Hi, I created a public dblink on db2, which connects to say u1 on DB1. The user u1 has 15 tables, i want to restrict access to only couple of tables. Is there any work around.

Nothiong straigntforward. The DB link connects using the user/pass of the table owner right? If so it is in effect the owner. A common approach is to create a second schema having synonyms pointing to the table owner's tables. The owner grants access selectively to the new schema.
