Hi all!

there is a problem when I issue create database command on the SQL* plus editor.

I've some queries too:

Is it possible to connect sys as sysdba with Oracle instance without having a database. How can I create database manually only with the Oracle software installed on the server system.

Please help me with the details and references.

Thanks,

Varun Narang.

In 8i and above there are many scripts to run - it's usually the easiest and most reliable to run "dbca" on Unix or "database configuration assistant" on Windows. It's a GUI wizard.
