Hi Everyone,

Big problem!

I found out that we had Oracle 9i installed on our Solaris platform (machine1) in this case. This was successful.

The DBA at the time then made a BINARY COPY to another machine (machine 2) of the same platform.

Amazingly, he was able to create databases etc...

Problem now is, upgrading 9i to version 9.2.0.6! The OUI does not detect an installed version of Oracle 9i on the machine. Is there a file of some sort that I can manually edit myself and place an entry that would have OUI think the 9i database was installed successfully??

Thanks in advance .... IA

Binary copy will work.
for upgrade first install your OUI that is compatilble.
Look into the README doc accompanied in upgrade / patchsets.
