Has user internal been gotten rid of in 9i, if so why and what replaced it.

Can one do the same things withn dgmgrl as was with svrmgr app.

I appreciate any help although Icould not find much verbage on this topic within 9i release documentation

HI,

from Oracle 9i version they have removed SVRMGRL utility and they even removed user internal..

you can do all the database operations using SQLPLUS utility

Use "connect / as sysdba" as "connect internal" is deprecated in 9i.

You use SQL*Plus to perform server manager tasks, as it is also deprecated. Data Guard manager is something different.
