How can I copy my database from Unix OS to NT environment. Can I copy datafiles directly if yes How or Export/Import Option can be used.

Hi

it's depand on your size of database....and morever i guess u can't transport a tablespace from one database to another if it is having different O/S...if it is same O/S you can do that..but here also you will have one complication when you transport system tablespace to another database....So use export/import option...

You can't.
No possibility to copy files directly between different platforms.
You must create database on NT, full export from unix, then full import on new NT database.

Hi,

But if you are using oracle 10g then you can. In 10g you can transport tablespaces across the platforms using RMAN. Refer Oracle Doc for more info.
