Dear All,

On the Proxy server,my network engineer asked me to install the oracle database 9i. After installation the users are unable to access the any websites.

The error message is Oracle Servlet Engine.....

After this problem arosed I stopped the Apache HTTP Server and in the services, I made as Manual and restared the server. But still the problem lies.

To get rid off this problem i need to stop the oracle running on the proxy server machine.

Can anybody help me in this? my question are below:

 1. Is it wise to install Oracle Database 9i on proxy server?

If yes,how to disable the Oracle Servlet Engine(i.e. OSE).

Or if any scripts so that I can run..please help me how to go about it step by step.....

Awaiting for your response it is little urgent.

Thanking you In advance

 John Wesley

Is this an 9i database installation or 9Ias installation?
in case of 9i database, edit the
init.ora file and remove the mts_dispatchers line.
restart the database using this init.ora.
recreate your spfile using this init.ora.
restart the database.
In case this is not helping you, please let us know.
