Hi,

I am installing Oracle 7i personal version.
Is there any site in which complete documentation
on how to install it step by step.

While i am logging thru SQL *PLUS,
getting following error.

SQL> connect
Enter user-name: system
Enter password:
ERROR:
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist

Can anyone suggest the solution.

I assume you only completed the software install.

Did you create the database succesfully ?

Create database after software installation.
Documentation is on CD or downloadable from technet.oracle.com
