Hi

tell me on which O/S your databases are running

if it is on Windows then you have make that entry in registry in oracle folder

and if it is on Unix then you have make the entry in required file

send me info about O/S

regards

hi sanjeev

go to registry by typing REGEDIT at run option in a start button when registry window is open then click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE option then it will open a tree structured file system under that select software option then you will find oracle folder select that
u will find oracle_home option then on right side pane
u will find multiple entries as oracle_sid(this entries equal to num of databases existing ou your system )then select the database u want to start at boot time then u will find entry as oracle_sid = false convert this to true.

false value indcicates that particular database will not start when systen starts and true indicates reverse
save the changes and for testing purpose restart the system(if possible) then you can check out whether database is open or not

this will work let me know if it fails
