Hi,

I wrote a VB program to extract data from Oracle. When I was doing testing on my workstation, I did not encounter any problem but when I deploy into other workstation, the program prompts me error:

Run-time Error '-2147217843(80040e4d)' [[Oracle]][[ODBC]][[Ora]] Server rejected the connection.

What could be the problem and how can I resolve this problem. Appreciate your reply. Thanks

Hi,

A good start would be to enable ODBC tracing and check the trace file for the "ORA-" error generated. This should give a indication why your connection was rejected.
