I want to install jre on my linux9 for oracle8.1.7 installation. After I download the required jre patch from blackdown and untar it. I couldn't find the way to install it. Can somebody help me out?

Hi Sir,

I run ./runInstaller from orcle8.1.7 but see error
map fail
DISPLAY <any xwindow host>:0.0
