Hello all. I want to make sure I get the terminology correct as I usually work with SQL Server.  I am looking to create a second database on a single install of Oracle 8i on the windows platform.  Any help would be greatly appreciataed.

in oracle terms, you are trying to have
One oracle home (installation) and 2 different databases.
right? if so,
just create another using command line tools or dbca( much prefferred GUI interface).
If you can follow the OFA (Optimal flexible architecture, the oracle standards to place the Datafiles, logs, dumps etc) it will be easier for u.
