hi experts

but i got this error

i am running this one in switched as oracle user from root su - orauser

and trying to run this installer but i getting following error

when i giving display command in root it working properly diaplaying the image (thats working)

when i switched to oracle user this command giving erorr.how to initialize the display to the oracle user . i set this variable
i found hostname by giving hostname from oracle user

then i got the name localhost.localdomain

then i used here

export DISPLAY= localhost.localdomain:0.0

but gives this error

Hi,

Have you done an "xhost +" from the root user to grant everybody access to the display?

I think xhost+ will work and if does not follow the steps from the following url. this works well. I have installed the Oracle on number of machines by following these stpes.

if problem presistes, please give more input or step by step command which can help me to explain in detail

hi its worked
and i able to start universal installer but
i got error in( linux9 oracle 9.2).The installation got hanged while installing java runtime environment
1.1.8.1.0 i got the message link penidng
pls tell me whats the wrong with this whether i have to create any links or whether i have to download jre
again.pls hlp
