Hi,

I have unix based oracle server installed with an instance. Now I want to create another instance but I want to place it in another hard disk partition.

How do I go about to do that?

you nneed to change the installation scripts of the database and change the path's for all Datafiles (system01.dbf, tools01.dbf, ...) The oracle binaries you do not need to install a second time.
