Hello,

  I have installed Oracle 8i Server on my machine.Now I don't require Oracle 8i Server .  Can you please tell me ,how to drop the whole database.

If you know many ways to drop ,Please tell me all.

You can use ORACLE-Universal Installer to remove databases.

Well there are 2 parts on this.

1. Oracle binaries
2. Oracle database (data files)

With the Oracle Univ. Installer, you uninstall the binaries. Pretty simple.

Then of coarse the database is of no use. So delete the Database data files.

Best bet would be
1. Figure out where ALL the datafiles, logfiles and control files are.
2. Uninstall the binaries with OUI
3. Delete the datafiles, logfiles and control files (from #1).
