hi,
Iam trying to install Oracle 8.1.6 on w2k,your site
gave me the info that the dll file symjit.dll has to
be renamed.I tried to copy the contents of my CD to my
c drive ,the copying process gave a "cylic redundancy
error" while copying lib.0.0.jar file from stage directory of the cd.
Please help as I need to transfer the contents to my disk to install Oracle.
best regards
siddharth

Hi,

If you get a CRC (cyclic redundancy check) error, your CD is probably damaged, scratched or just dirty. That might even be the reason why you cannot install from it. Try to clean it, otherwise get a new CD.

Best regards.
