Our database resides on Solaris machine. Its oracle 9.2.1.0

We have imported tables into an user, but unfortunately this user is not having default tablespace..so all the tables are stored in system.dbf. The size of system.dbf has gone up to 5GB. We have removed the user but we cant be able to reduce the size of system.dbf using resize command as it is saying "datafile already filled with objects". But I am able to reduce it in Windows residing database.

System tablespace is extended to 5GB, But i can see 700 MB is used. Can I get back the system.dbf to its original size. Can anybody let me know how to reduce the size of extended system.dbf to it original size or to the minumum size as much as possible?
