I am Getting problem to install Oracle 8.0.4 on windows 2000 Server.
The message it is showing is "Unable to start NT Service Oracle WebAssistant" and the service is not present in the service list .
The next message it is showing is "Unable to delete the NT Service for the SQL*Net V2 Listner.
Please find solution as urgent as possible.

Get an Oracle version that is still supported:
8i or preferrably 9i. Besides, version 8.0.4 is not known as the most stable version there is, in fact it was desupported very quickly.

Look at this page at otn.oracle.com. You'll find more recent versions there. The downloads are huge, but worth it.

A free subscription is required.

hi
i got a problem while downloading oracle 8 on win2000
the error is " unable to delete nt service for sql*
v2 listners
