What is the difference between VIEW AND MATERIALIZED VIEW.please explain it clearly

A view CONTAINS NO DATA itself.
A materialized view is a database object that CONTAINS the results of a query.

The keyword SNAPSHOT is supported in place of
MATERIALIZED VIEW for backward compatibility.

Can u please help me how exactly views are different from materialized views.
Give me some examples.
