Hello,
I have made table exports from a v880 SUN machine running Oracle 9i. The export dump contains around 1.5 million rows. There were 3-4 such files. Now I am trying to import in a different Windows machine running Oracle 9i. I am getting the following errors after sometime the import file was executed. Here are the errors from alert log file
ORA-01242: data file suffered media failure: database in NOARCHIVELOG mode
ORA-01114: IO error writing block to file 11 (block # 2077369)
ORA-01110: data file 11: 'E:ORA_DATAFILECDRTBS01.DBF'
ORA-27069: skgfdisp: attempt to do I/O beyond the range of the file
OSD-04026: Invalid parameter passed. (OS 2077369)
I have observed that there were ample space in the disk, the tablespace contains 3-4 datafiles, each with autoextend on. There were space also for the System tablespace to grow. I have faced the same problem in other machines also (all were Windows m/c). Can anyone guide me on this. An explanation and a solution is very much welcome.
Thanks in advance,
Shibaji

Hi,
Check the size of the Datafile and check whether ur OS is capable of handling that size of files. If not than try to limit the size of ur DataFiles upto a specific size. Plus also check the trace file.
