Hi,

I would like to setup a valid node checking system in my environment (Oracle 8.1.7). But I can't find any protocol.ora file in my $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin directory??

Should I manually create one? And just add:

tcp.validnode_checking = yes

tcp.invited_nodes = ....

???

Hi,

This question belongs in the SQLNET forum, but I'll
answer anyway:

The protocol.ora parameters were moved to sqlnet.ora
from Oracle 9i and above. This is documented in the
Networking Services Reference Guide.
