Hi,
I was wondering if there are any potential problems in using the /tmp area for the oracle temporary tablespace? In our case all our data/logs will be on a NFS mount. But I'm planning to put the /tmp locally. What do you guys think?
Thanks
Tony

I would not really go for it.
My reasoning is that /tmp is not that big of a space to start with. Your sysadmin can come and clean up the /tmp occasionally as needed. Dangerous.
It is better to make another dedicated folder like /u02/tmp and put your file there.
Just my thought.
