Where to find the oradim.exe file. I have to delete and recreate the services.
I have oracle 9.2.0.4 installed on linux 2.4.20-8smp

Oradim is a utility that creates the services in Windows. Are you looking for dbstartup and dbshutdown shell scripts?

Anish:
You are right oradim.exe is in Windows. Actually I am more concerned with an issue of oracle database not starting up (it can mount).
Whenever I open the database it hangs.
How should I go about

Hi,
i have given the oradim command to start up oracle8i in windowsxp machine with the following parameters but the command promt pops up a message stating that "-startup" paramameter is missing some arguments".
The command typed at the commad promt is :
oradim d:/oracle/ora81/bin/ORCL92 -startup -sid ORCL92 -usrpwd manager -starttype [[winxp,INST]] -pfile d:/oracle/oradmin/pfile/ora.init
please reply what to do to sartup oracle
