Hi i am going to upgrade the oracle 9.3 to 9.4 , during the upgradation steps i was requested to freeze the "VCS". Some body could u please explain me what is that VCS, is it variable cluster software or any thing else, if so how to freeze it .

Your help will be heighly apprciated.

Hi,

VCS = Veritas Cluster Server. You can freeze Service Groups from the Cluster Manager. Ask your system administrator for assistance.
