Hi,

Does anyone have the idea about the following error?

SQL> set termout off
SQL> set echo on
SQL> connect sys/knl_test7 as sysdba
Connected to an idle instance.
SQL> startup force pfile=t_init1.ora quiet
ORACLE instance started.
Database mounted.
ORA-00402: database changes by release 9.2.0.0.0 cannot be used by release
8.1.0.0.0
ORA-00405: compatibility type "LOB Retention"

Its taking my hell lot of time, please explain if any Oracle guru has faced such problem.

How to get rid of this?
