Folks,
We have a transactional database which will be our source to load our datamart. We have a staging area which will be used to retrieve the delta overnight from the transactional source and transform that and eventually load the result into our datamart.
Are there any best practices in carrying out this process. I would like to hear some expert suggestions in the following issues:
1. Identifying Delta from OLTP DB and loading into staging area
2. Performing transformation in the staging area.
If anyone could share standard best practices in this matter, I would really appreciate it.
