All,

�� Is it possible to upgrade the Oracle 9i servers (DB, etc) on Solaris8 from 32bit to 64bit - after installation?� I didn't do the original install so don.'t know why they didn't build it that way.� I have taken over the job and would like the Oracle products to use the 64 bit capabilities on sunfire equipment.� I was also hoping that it would make patch uploads easier (don't have to rememebr that the OS is 64bit enabled but the apps are running at 32bit.��Thanks in advance for any information.�

Yes, it is possible. See Metalink Note:164997.1 - "How to Upgrade a Database from 32 Bit Oracle to 64 Bit Oracle"

Can't seem to find this document anywhere. Have tried to do a search and get to the search page results that send me to the "Migrating, upgrading, etc' pages but don't know how to get the document to come up.
