Hi,

Im back to where I started but this time with more knowledge. I am restaring my rendevzous with Oracle.
In short I cleaned up all I had done and started from the scratch

One question

After Installing Oracle database from 3 CD's is there any other software that I need to install like
patches, security updates?
If yes please let me know where to find them.

You could download them(9.2.0.4) patches from metalink.oracle.com if you have support.

Before installing patch 4.0, you need to install Oracle Universal Installer (OUI) 2.2.0.18. Base install of Oracle 9.2.0.1.0 installs OUI 2.2.0.12.

So here are the steps.

1. install OUI 2.2.0.18
2. install patch 4.0

Both of these come in the same package.
