Dear All,
I am getting a very peculiar problem. After changing my password, I am getting the error "ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve service name".
But with the same TNSnames.ora and sqlnet.ora another user can login with his username and password.
In fact I was not facing any problem prior to changing password.
can u pleas help me out. I am stuck.

ORA-12154 has nothing to do with passwords.
are there multiple oracle_homes? if so every home will have its own tnsnames.ora. make sure u use the rigth one.
are u using OS authentication?
