Hi
we loaded oracle 8.1.7 on win2000 server. whenever the server is restarted, server will not start on its own. I have to go to SVRMGRL and give connect sys as sysdba then password and give
STARTUP

How to avoid this and make the server start on its own, we checked the services. all the services are automatic related to ORAC.

This problem is coming all the servers.

Pl help

Hari

Hi,

Check the services from control panel/administrator tools/services for ur DB. I think that ur DB services is in Manual mode, if it is then jut right click on it (Mainly DB service and listener service) go to properties and change the mode to automatic. After that ur problem will be sorted out.
