Except for DB_BLOCK_SIZE , everything else is modifiable for a given database, after database creation.
DB_NAME can be modified after renaming the database. DB_BLOCK_SIZE can be modified after recreating the database(new one).

Thanx for your post ;)
Hm this means that I have to be extremely careful only with DB_BLOCK_SIZE. Every other parameter could be modified either with alter system or in the init.ora (in which case shutdown->startup)...

Anton,
you have to be careful with EVERY parameter ;)
Actually,if you attempt to change DB_BLOCK_SIZE, Oracle wont permit it . see below :
SQL> alter system set db_block_size=8192 scope=spfile;
alter system set db_block_size=8192 scope=spfile
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-32017: failure in updating SPFILE
ORA-32016: parameter "db_block_size" cannot be updated in SPFILE
Also DB_NAME cannot be modified in this fashion or changing init.ora , until you rename the database. See Mahesh's post earlier about renaming the database.
