We let users change their own passwords. But only one character is valid for Oracle password. How do we limited at least 5 characters to be a valid password? Thanks.

Hello,
call the verify_function (username varchar2,password varchar2)...
begin. ..
IF length(password) < 4 THEN
raise_application_error(-20002, 'Password length less than 4');
END IF;
end;
and call that verify_function as a parameter of password_verify_function...
hope that helps...

Make use of the verify funtion.
if length(password) < 5
then raise_application_error(-20003,'The password should be of atleast 5 Characters');
end if;
Cheers!
