Hello,
I'm about to install a 9.2.0 (64-bit) oracle system on Solaris 8 platform. We have about 10 databases which are medium sized (less than 10 Gigs) and 3 databses (about 50 Gigs) which will be moved from 8.1.7 to 9.2.0.
Our new solaris server (64-bit) has about 10 GIGS of Main memory, 100 GIGS of swap, 4 CPUS.
I looked into the installation document for 9.2.0 and don't see any mention on the shared memory , semaphore settings for the /etc/system. Following is what I plan to have. Please let me know if I need to increase this values any further:
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmax=4294967295
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmin=1
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmni=100
set shmsys:shminfo_shmseg=10
set semsys:seminfo_semmni=100
set semsys:seminfo_semmsl=256
set semsys:seminfo_semmns=1024
set semsys:seminfo_semopm=100
set semsys:seminfo_semvmx=32767 (not applicaable, i guess)
Also, please let me know if there is any document specific to 9.2.0 for me to configure this out properly.
Thanks
