Hello. I come from a SQL Server environment but I need to do some developing in Oracle SQL Developer. I have access to Oracle SQL Developer but when I click on 'New Database Connection' nothing happens. I did a general search in this forum but did not find anything. I have not used this forum in a while though so I may have missed something. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

It may be a Java issue.
Download the version of SQL Developer that includes the JDK.

I'm not saying that this is an issue here (because you didn't even come to that point), but: SQL Developer is a tool. Do you have a database to connect it to? If not, you should.
