I have published a small Oracle utility that allows to explore the dictionary for the most popular object-types like: Tables,Views,Mviews,Sequences,...
You will see the underlying views and can create on the fly the SELECT-statements against the views, including joins.

In addition, the main DDL commands for each object-type are visible.
So you have a short reference, with sample commands.
