I am sure some might have experienced same error.. please help me on this
i am loading 98 colums into a table with pipe delimited, and my last field is long. thought i am not getting any error on long yet, this error occured on 70th field...
SQL*Loader-350: Syntax error at line 25.
Token longer than max allowable length of 258 chars

sidd,
it is a limitation in sql*loader.
But in most of the cases, it would also be a syntax error in control file.
please check your control file.
if possible, post it here.
