Good evening all,
I have managed to install oracle 11 soon my windows 10 Home however when running SQL Developer I get an error:
Unable to launch Java Virtual Machine
Located at path:
..\..\jdk\jre\bin\client\jvm.dll

I have googled and am getting answers that I need to install JDK 32bit
I have downloaded from oracle
Java SE Development kit 8 windows-i586.exe and installed
I have set JAVA_HOME to the java.exe location but still not working
any advice would be appreciated.

In the future please avoid trying to tell us what you see & do.
It is far, far better to use COPY & PASTE to actually show us what you do & how the system responds.

So where does jvm.dll file reside on your system?

Did you actually follow the instructions as written on URL below?

Morning BlackSwan,
Thank you for you reply,
I am working on 2 different machines.
This is why I have typed out what I see,
But I will use the forum on the windows machine in future to paste my output.

I have somehow downloaded an old version of SQLDeveloper and didn't notice, stupidity or over tired
sorry about that.

Ok,
When I run SQLDeveloper it opens the loading screen, loads a little then just closes.
I have replaced theMSVCR100.dll with the one from the download to see if it changes, still the same thing, I have also restarted the machine just incase no change.

Welcome to the forum! I'm fairly new here too, but I'd be happy to share some advice. It looks like you're having a common issue with SQL Developer on Windows 10. The error you're encountering often relates to the Java version being used. Firstly, make sure you've downloaded the correct version of Java. For a 64-bit Windows 10, you generally need a 64-bit JDK.
