hi guys
Can anybody verify the following for me:
Oracle9i distributes a single general setup for all languages.
NLS Settings for different languages have to be done by the database
administrator at time of setup.
The basic setup is in English, and the system sets the character set
by default when you specify the language to be say" German".
Concerns like:
Whether Oracle9i can convert English database into the local
language database on its own,
Whether a German Oracle database will let users write and read from
data on a local machine ,
are dependant on the Character Set Choice.
Choice of character set depends on
1.Type of Database scenario
2.Languages to be supported by the database server.
3.OS of the server, client.
thanks in advance
