Hi,
I am running oracle 9i release 2 (version 9.2.0.1). I was trying to install the current version of oracle. Please advice which patch should I install before 9.2.0.3.0 or Could I install directly without previous version?
ONCE, I tried to install (patch set 2554804)I have error " ORACLE_HOME isn't set, exiting" but my I installed default in my windows2000 server. it creates default home orahome92 and d:oracle.
Please give me the right patch set for windows2000 and the installation process.
Thank you in Advance

You can apply any Oracle patch w/o need to have the previous patch installed. Usually, every subsequent patch level includes the bugs from the previous one. So go ahead with the 9.2.0.3.0
If the Oracle complains about ORACLE_HOME not set, then set it up in the environment variables.
The patch installation instructions are included in the zip file as README.html. Follow them step-by-step. Nothing easy than that.
Hope that helps,
