Dear all,

I am trying to install oracle 12c grid infrastructure on RHEL 5.9 (64bit). I am getting an error as "execution of gi installation script failed". I have attached the error.

Please advice me what to do.

I got the following info at log :

I have installed 12.x GI dozens of times. Hundreds, perhaps. I have never seen that window. At what stage did it appear? What do you see if you click the "details" button?

Dear all,

I have solved the problem by manually running the scripts "/u01/app/oraInventory/orainstroot.sh" and /u01/app/12.1.0/grid/root.sh".

When installer prompt to tick the option for root password to run necessary script by root.... then do not click on the that and press next....

Then later installer instruct you to run the scripts by opening a session of root user on both nodes.

Then run the scripts manually.
