Hi Experts,
I need advice , i have been working on ERP implementation and Oracle reports development for past 14 years, i was working on two different ERP 's one is Orion 10.4 and the other IFS , now i want to move into Oracle Apps as i see mostly the requirements for Oracle Apps is that they need people who have worked on it.I have not worked on it but i possess lot of functional expertise in various modules like Hrms,SCm ,is it advisable to take Oracle DBA path by getting OCP certification and then get into Oracle Apps or do i need to go for Oracle Apps training.
Kindly advice.

If you want to become an E-Business Suite DBA, and get certified for it, the first step would be to pass the Oracle OCP exam, then to write the EBS Install Patch and Maintain Applications exam.
If this is your objective, then solid DBA skills would be vital.
If you just want to focus on the EBS Applications, DBA skills would be optional.
Good luck!
