Is there a free unzip utility available anywhere? It seems like there used to be one free with Windows, but I see that now they want extra money for it. I also seem to remember there being some sort of downloadable unzip utility available from Oracle, so that you could unzip their files, but I can't seem to find it now. When I originally downloaded the database, unzipped the files, and installed them on this computer, the new computer came with a free Winzip trial that has expired. I would like to download the examples from Oracle, but it is in a zip file. I don't want to risk downloading any alleged zip utility from the internet that could contain viruses. Does anybody have a recommendation?

I use the same one, it in addition contains more and more powerful compression algorithms than "native" Windows one or WinZip.

Thanks to both of you. I downloaded 7-Zip 16.02 (2016-05-21) for Windows. I figured I might as well get the most current version. It unzipped the examples just fine, which I am in the process of attempting to install now.

Yep. 7-Zip is also standard on all our work and all my private machines.

There is also a command line version ( p7zip ) available in most Linux Repositories.

7-Zip is the best one I've ever used.
