I've just done a fresh install of Oracle 9i and Forms Builder 6 on my Win XP Pro box.

I can connect to the server fine using sqlplus from the Oracle 9i install by omitting the connect_string.

But the Forms Builder and the sqlplus client from the forms install gives me an 'ORA-12203:TNS:Unable to connect to destination' error, when starting forms builder with no 'database' in the third field.

Starting forms builder with my 'sid.domain' in the database field I get an 'ORA-12154:TNS:Could not resolve service name' error.

Basically I don't know how to connect Forms Builder to my database.

Appreciate any help,

Phil Hartley.

I got Forms to connect the other night.

I'd been trying for two weeks.

It's a real pain for an Oracle newbie.
