Hi,

On Oracle 9i, on excution of a query...
select...where rownum <= 100000
MINUS
select...where rownum <= 99995

there is End Of Communication

This happens on an inconsistent basis.

Kindly suggest some way to overcome this...

Did you try to run an "analyze table xxx compute statistics" on the tables?
