New to DS. Previously I was using Oracle Forms 6i and Reports 6i. In Oracle Developer 2000 all one have to do is to just install the Oracle Developer 2000 and can run reports. But in DS after installation I am unable to run the DS Reports.
Kindly guide me what steps should I take to run the Reports on browser.
I have done following steps:
Defining the Report Server.
On CMD (Run) rwserver server=My_Report_Server
Edit the sourceDir variable in My_Report_Server.conf
Add REPORT_PATH in the default.env
When I run the paper layout it is showing me the report output. But when I run a report web layout it is showing me following alert:
ERROR : Failed to locate the browser
Try connectiong again...
Yes/No

Dear Littlefoot,
Using Google Chrome (also my default browser). I am using Chrome with EBS plugin provided by Google Chrome. My Oracle DS Forms are running perfectly on Chrome. But the Reports are doing problem.
First I tried to run my DS Forms on MS Internet Explorer but there was an error of java. When I searched I found that the latest version of I.E and FirFox are not supporting the Oracle DS. I found Google Chrome Thin plugin for oracle forms. And on Chrome the DS Forms are running fine.
When I run a report on the report builder for browser it open my Chrome browser but there is no url in the address bar and after a while the Report builder shows following error:
ERROR : Failed to locate the browser
Try connectiong again...
Yes/No

If you do actually have Jinitiator installed, get rid of it and use the Sun JRE instead. Try an older version first. With EBS Forms, JRE1.6 worked no problem but JRE 1.7 needed some workarounds. I don't know about 1.8.
