I want to "read" ORACLE redolog.

I "read" the redolog of master server
and do the same action in the backup server.

So I can create a "thin" replication system.

DEAR FRIEND,

WAT DO U EXACTLY MEAN BY READING THE REDO LOG???

U CANNOT READ ANYTING FROM REDO LOG FILES...

REDO LOG FILES ARE READ EITHER BY THE ARCHIVER PROCESS DURING ARCHIVING OFTHE REDO LOGFILES OR BY THE SMON PROCESS DURING INSTANCE RECOVERY TIME...

BY THE WAY INFO ABOUT THE LOCATION AND STATUS OF REDO LOG GROUPS AND REDO LOG MEMBERS CAN BE FOUND OUT FROM V$LOG AND V$LOGFILE DYNAMIC PERFORMACE VIEWS...

TAKE CARE...

BHUPI
