Single instance to RAC conversion [message #647919]

I am looking options to migrate the single instance database to RAC instance. My database
version is Oracle12c. We can use tools(OEM,DBCA,RCONFIG) to migrate the database.
But, RMAN restore with manual configuration would be least downtime approach.
I googled and it seems oracle never talked about manual configuration for Oracle 12c.

I also opened ticket with oracle and they are saying, they don't recommend manual
configuration approach.. I am surprised...

How do we migrate TB size database from single instance to RAC instance
with minimal downtime? Just checking how can we accomplish this with minimal
downtime...

You can use the DBCA to do the conversion for you. That and more is documented here:

There are tons of document for oracle11g. But not able to find one for 12c..
that was reason, I posted this question here.
