Please list the full error! This error is caused when a value is entered in the field that does not match the Format Mask property.

You could try with ON-ERROR or ON-MESSAGE triggers (depending on what you are trying to capture) (I don't know what is FRM-40209 (an error or a message), but you'll find it easily).

Basically, you'd check for different error / message codes and handle them the way you want. Have a look at this example to get the idea.
